Question: Pregnant…need help!!?
I have a big problem… I started a new job July 9th. Shortly after, I found out I was pregnant but my dr recommended I terminate it due to large fibroids (the size of an orange). He wanted to do a hysterectomy. I had to take a few days off because I was sick and I let my boss know the truth. Since then, I got a second opinion and also found out I am having twins. I am under the care of a specialist and my pregnancy is progressing fine. I wanted to make sure everything was going fine before I told my boss. My boss is never in the office and often can only be reached via e-mail. I planned to tell my boss yesterday and sent an e-mail (she is never in the office). To my surprise, she came in today for the first time in a month and I am sure she got my e-mail. She appears to be pissed off. I am not sure if its because of my news. I don’t want her to think that I originally lied just to get this job when in fact it was the truth. How should I handle this?

By law she can’t fire you because you are pregnant. Being a woman I would think she would understand.
