Orgasm Post Myomectomy – Have I Damaged My Uterus?

Question: Orgasm Post Myomectomy – Have I Damaged My Uterus?
I am a little worried, I had non penetrative sex 2 weeks post myomectomy (fibroids) and had an orgasm. The next day I felt a little internally bruised. I am really worried now as I have just read that because your uterus contracts during an orgasm I could have caused damage to my uterus.

I am so scared as I want to have children in the future. I will book a appointment with my GP who wil no doubt refer me to a consultant which will take a least a month.

Does anyone know whether this will be the case or is the uterus good at self healing.

You did nothing to hurt your uterus if you haven’t inserted anything internally. Actually, it may have physically hurt after the orgasm but that was just the scar tissue not damage, if it were damage it would hurt and you would be bleeding. Scar tissue can hurt when it’s stretched, but what stretching and moving that tissue does is break up the fibers in the tissue to make for a smaller and less raised scar.

Good for you taking care of the fibroids before pregnancy, I think my sister is going to do an embolism treatment instead post pregnancy. She wishes she knew about the fibroids before she got pregnant.
