Question: Mass found behind my uterus and polyp in front of my cervix..What is it?
I went to a new ob/gyn today and told him I had been diagnosed with fibroid tumors and a prolapsed uterus in the past. Well after trying to do a pelvic exam, he said he had never seen what he saw over the last 20 years but like twice. Well that scared me to death. He said I had some kinda polyp hanging out from my cervix and had a mass behind my uterus. He said I had been neglected by my other ob/gyn’s for letting this go the way it has…so now he has ordered a ct of my pelvis and abdomen and a ultrasound of my uterus. I have seen the fibroid in a scan done a few years ago so I do know I have them in and outside my uterus but a polyp and a MASS behind my uterus has me scared…he said a hysterectomy was the only cure and he said he hopes he can do it laperscopy. Does anyone have any answers to what I have??? I am still in shock…Thanks for any help.
